Our privacy policy outlines how and why we process your personal data, and contains information about your rights. Its contents are GDPR-compliant. 
The privacy policy only covers personal data collected on our www.balmain.com website and in our stores.  Please note that some of the sections near the end apply to residents of specific territories outside the European Union, where local regulations surrounding privacy protection require us to meet specific demands over and above those inherent to GDPR.

4. Do you use my personal data to carry out profiling? 

 

With your consent, PIERRE BALMAIN uses your personal data to profile you with a view to personalising your experience if you have an account on the website, and to send you personalised marketing content based on your profile. 

 

5. What are my rights and how can I exercise them? 

 

When data is processed on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw this consent at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing that took place prior to the withdrawal. 
In compliance with General Data Protection Regulation n°2016/679 dated 27 April 2016, the following rights apply: 

  •     Right to access: the right to be informed of whether or not we hold your personal data and how we process it, and to request access to the personal data we process; 

  •     Right to rectify: the right to ask us to change/rectify or update your personal data when it is inaccurate or incomplete;

  •     Right to limit: the right to ask us to temporarily or definitively stop processing all or some of your personal data; 

  •     Right to oppose: the right to refuse your personal data be processed for personal reasons and this at any time, and the right to refuse your personal data be processed for direct marketing purposes; 

  •     Right to data portability: the right to request a copy of your personal data as an electronic file, and the right to send this personal data to a third-party service for said service to use; 

  •     Right not to be subject to automated decision-making: the right to not be subject to decisions made solely via automated decision-making processes, including profiling, in cases where the decision in question has a legal effect on you or would produce a significant similar effect. 

  •     Right to determine how your data is used after your death.

All queries sent by post or email must be signed and specify the address to which you would like us to send our response. In case of any doubt, you may be asked for proof of identity before we can process your request. You will then be sent a reply no later than a month after we receive your request.   

 

6. What security measures have you taken to keep my personal data protected? 

 

Protecting your data integrity and privacy is one of our top priorities. 

We have put in place a number of technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against any unauthorised use and against any accidental partial or total loss or destruction.

We send personal details to affiliated companies and other trusted individuals or companies that process them on our behalf in compliance with this privacy policy and all other applicable privacy and security measures. A list is available upon request.

Your personal data may be sent to and processed by third parties based outside the European Union, such as our affiliated companies. 
Where this is the case, we ensure that your personal data is sent in compliance with the applicable law. Furthermore, we ensure that either the destination territory has been deemed adequate by the European Commission, or that the recipient has agreed to standard contractual clauses as approved by the European Commission, and/or that the appropriate organisational and technical contractual provisions are in place.
